Month 2 Done !!

Our little prince is 8 weeks old…Two Months…can you believe it??? Time is flying by and our prince is growing up so fast before our very eyes. We are having a heck of a adventure in parenting and poor Neev is the brunt of our ignorance and eureka moments!

He is seriously growing we were at the the pediatrician last Friday and He is already 9 pounds 11 ounces !!!! That’s a gain of over 3 pounds. He is also approximately 23 inch tall. It is amazing!!! Everything else looked great health wise and yes there were vaccine shots involved but we will talk about it in a separate post. He is doing excellent with his eating and pooping…the only problem right now seems to be the sleeping but he has trained mommy very well by now so she is not complaining!!

He is so cute during his “awake-time”…for the most part he will lie in his cradles seat and stare everything his eyes can catch. He is really fascinated by the center light and does not miss a single opportunity to state at that. Last month he caused a lot of fuss everytime we tried to give him a massage, now he seems to love it. We are surprised by the fact that our little guys can lift and hold his head so steadily. He also seems to know that we like his little movements so he never misses an opportunity to impress us. His staring, his farts, his smile and his crying ..everything is so cute …we love it…

Neev has became the only focal point of our life not too mention our favorite hobby and topic of discussion. Have you ever met those ..yes those who can’t talk about anything else except their kid, the ones we all used to laugh at. I am proud to admit that I am now in that group too…I am sure with this rate people will start to hide if they see me in the hallway. Part of the reason we can’t stop talking because the little monkey seems different every day. As if the God is fine-tuning your looks like he would a radio, trying to get that one perfectly clear frequency to come through. His mood, his schedule and his signals/expression changes every day, and just when we think we cracked the code, he switches it up on us again.

Well things are altering almost daily and I don’t think we can take enough pictures or videos to capture them all. We feel so blessed with such a great baby and we pray that he continues to be happy and healthy. We can’t believe that not before too long Neev will be laughing and smiling at us and soon he will be sitting up and not long after that he will be crawling! Times flies all to fast these days…I am just glad that we are here and able to soak up every moment with our precious baby.

Santa ..Not for Me !!

We took our little man to see the Santa other day but he could not have been less interested. Everybody there was so nice but expression on his face was like “whatever!!”. By the way, please don’t think that he is sleeping ..he is wide awake…just making faces !! I don’t know what to think of that …may be its not such a bad thing as I can now say No Santa-No Gifts

First Month Birtday

Can you believe its one month already.. Yes, My little man turned one month yesterday! The best part of it was that when I came home from work he was wide awake was starring at me as he was ready for some party time. I wanted to get a little cake and let him paw at it, but we thought taking him to the temple will be the best. It was raining heavily but we really wanted to have his first “Darshan” on his first birthday. We drove to the temple which took approximately 40 minutes, got some Prasad in the mean time. By the time we were parking outside temple he was hungry and crying so we fed him in the car for the first time right outside the temple. We went inside and found Bharat Bhai who did a Pooja and quickly told us his astrological signs from a software installed in his blackberry. However the real adventure didn’t started until we were about to step out from the temple. The little one started to make strange faces and soon there was peculiar smell around him. So we decided to change him and guess what he pooped the hack out. And just when we thought he finished his business he pooped some more and this time even his dress got dirty. Thank god Vi was smart enough to carry an extra set of dress. After our little venture inside the temple we couldn’t resist the urge to have some nice indian food and headed to Jaipur Junction. The food was delicious and quantity was great. We had Papri Chat, Chola Bhatura, Paneer Curry and Naan. While I was waiting for the food Vi went next door to the Krishna store and got some Indian groceries. He kept sleeping in the car seat but as we were finishing up the little monster signaled that he was hungry but we had not extra milk so we rushed home but there is a 40 minute ride. Thankfully the little guy went to sleep right away.

It was a rocky trip but end of the day it felt good that we could take him to the temple. The first month is over and we are looking forward to next one already. His first month was so exciting, and everything was new to us, we noticed every single details of him, and our lives changed a lot because of the arrival of this little boy but I am sure the next month will have a whole new set of adventures.

Let me not forget this ..the gift we got from Neev this past month is that I Vi I have really shaped a great partnership trying to figure the little guy out. Vi was always great with kids but I learned to change diapers, learned the best swaddling techniques, figured the best way to bottle feed and burp. Man ..I am into this stuff now !! I always thought we made an excellent team, but we are really in such a smooth phase now. After all there is a benefit of nobody being here from India. We three are trying to work with each other and everyday gets a little better than the past one. We understand you more, more and some more !!!
